Banana Bread with Crunchy Pecan Topping
(With Milk Free Substitutions for Milk Allergies)
Ingredients:
8 ounces cream cheese (softened) -- Can substitute with Vegan Sour Cream
1 cup sugar
¼ cup butter (softened) -- Can substitute with Vegetable Shortening
2 eggs
3 very ripe banana's (about 1 cup)
1 tablespoon vanilla
2 & ¼ cups all purpose flour
1 tablespoon ground flax*
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup chocolate chips (optional) -- Can substitute with Dark Chocolate Chunks
Crunchy topping ingredients:
1 cup chopped candied pecans
2/3 cup sugar
